On 21 march 2018 every person with vote-rights has the opportunity to bring his vote for a local politician. To make this more visible, the Noordoostpolder - a municipality - wanted a recognizable icon to use about the elections.

Eventually the icon was applied by the municipality on a large scale. For example, it was placed on the façade of the local water tower as a large sticker. Former mayor Aucke van der Werff was doing the final acts to transfer it to this tower.  (Video: Omroep Flevoland)
